It appears, from all the comments my Wisconsin Facebook friends are making, that Wisconsin is having an unbelievably mild December. This should really surprise no one since I am no longer there.
If you think I'm joking you need to look at the research I have done on this subject.
First of all...Wisconsin has had ONE day this year below 30* and that was 29* on November 22. Last year at this time we already had 22 days below 30*!
To further prove my point I took a sample week (December 1 - December 8) from the years 1999 to present.
The years 1999-2004 and 2015 we were living in Florida
The years 2005-2014 we were living in Wisconsin.
Here are the average temps for that week
While we lived in Florida
1999 - 45*
2000 - 20* (Zack and I were actually visiting Wisconsin this week)
2001 - 49*
2002 - 31*
2003 - 41*
2004 - 40*
Then we moved to Wisconsin
2005 - 19*
2006 - 24*
2007 - 24*
2008 - 26*
2009 - 32*
2010 - 26*
2011 - 34*
2012 - 40*
2013 - 27*
2014 - 28*
Then we moved back to Florida
2015 - 42*
Since the overall average for that week is 33* that means
While we lived in Florida there were:
5 above average weeks (and almost 10* above average most of them)
2 below average weeks (and one of those two we were in Wisconsin for so that doesn't even count)
While we lived in Wisconsin there were:
2 above average weeks (one just barely at 34*)
8 below average weeks
Seriously, I don't get it.
