Zack had another basketball game this evening but unfortunately, he only played about half the game.
The team had two practices over Christmas break and apparently, a few of the boys decided not to go so the coach felt it necessary to send a message to the team and benched the boys who missed practice for half of the game.
Even though we were on vacation and not just arbitrarily decided to skip practice, I realize sometimes blanket statements are needed and an exception made for just him would not have looked good...so he sat on the bench with the others.
So, I didn't bother with any pictures but I'm pretty sure he scored 6 points and had a few rebounds and a block.
Now...I have no idea what will happen with Tuesday's game since they apparently have practice tomorrow from 11:00-1:00 and Zack (along with several other members of the team) already has practice for the school play from 9:00-1:00. Since the play is part of a school letter grade and because he has a major role, he cannot miss it.
I guess we'll see.
Update: The coach considered it an excused absence and will not affect their playing time on Tuesday.
