Sectional Game Two - Won

and onto State for the first time in school history.

Due to a financial deficit (no money) I could not go to the game last night - but they ended up on top, winning, once again, in four games. The last two games went down to the wire and ended with the same score 25-23. From what I understand, the other team had twice the cheering section that we had... but we had God on our side... and He's all you need.

Next game is Friday, November 5th in Green Bay and I am hoping to overcome my financial difficullties in order to attend.

Sectional Game One --- WON!!

A great group of Valley Christian volleyball fans gathered last night to watch the Lady Warriors take on Tigerton in Almond-Bancroft. And believe me, we got a great show!!!

As I was watching the pre-game practice I was very impressed with the Tigerton team. My first thought was there was no way that we could even stay competitive with them. Then, I discovered that they were undefeated, even in regional play! Things seemed hopeless.... but... nothing is impossibble with God!

Game one went on forever and Valley Christian finally emerged from the game with a 32-30 victory!

Game two went down to the wire too with Tigerton winning that one 26-24, even though Valley Christian had game point.

Game three we were able to take a little breather as Valley Christian took that one relatively easily with a score of 25-18.

Game four was another nail biter that went past the 25 point mark but Valley Christian was able to take that game as well at 28-26.

Unbeleiveable! Now, it is on to the sectional final for the first time in school history... tomorrow night against Florence.

Go Lady Warriors!!!!

Regional Champions - Again

Back to Back regional championships by the Valley Christian girls' volleyball team. Way to go girls. God has certainly blessed this team, and Brad, their amazing coach, has once again turned them into a very competitive team. What amazes me the most is how this team, who comes from a tiny high school of roughly 75 - 80 students can compete with teams from high schools three and four times their size!

Anyway, the opposing team was the same team they faced last year in the regional championship game - St. Mary's Springs Catholic High School - and they were definately out for revenge. Not so apparent from the players themselves -- they were very good sports -- but the fans! Jeez, there were a group of boys that were rude and obnoxious, even to the point of laughing loudly and fooling around during the prayer at the end of the game.

No pictures this year as I had a "blonde moment". Thinking I had forgotten my camera, I stood around watching as photos were taken of the team with their championship plaque even commenting to someone how upset I was that I "left my camera at home." Only later, when looking for my keys, did I see my camera was in my purse the whole time. My, if only I had thought to look in my purse!

And on the subject of sports, my dearest friend in the world just finished her second year coaching Valley Christian's cross country team - and doing a fabulous job! I see in her eyes and her heart how much she cares about these runners. Great job on another great season, Carey.

On a different note, C.J. is home this weekend (so is Lauren, but she is home all the time). This time he came with his dad and they are going to Lambaeu Field tonight to watch another Brett Favre homecoming as the Vikings and Packers play. He is looking most forward to booing Favre. Sorry, Favre, it stinks to be a traitor!

Hello......

.....it's been awhile, yes I know. Life is chugging along here at casa de Schneider/Koeck and October is already half gone. My subbing position ended last Friday but Zack needs to continue to attend school through the first quarter so that he can get a report card.. so... this week has been rather long and boring. I bring him to school at 9:15 and then countdown the hours until I can pick him up at 3:15. Truthfully, I have kept busy with scrapbooking, baking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping for deals. What I really want to do is paint Lauren's room (which is now red) but my perfectionist, obsessed husband (love you, honey) will not let me paint until he has a chance to to tape off and do the trim first. So, for know, that project remains undone.

In other full house news, C.J. will be home again next weekend (insert big smile)!!! This visit will be short though and packed with activities for him, including the Pakers/Vikings game Sunday night, but we will get together for breakfast - or lunch - or both. I'm just looking forward to seeing him again!

Jon received his ACT results and I am very proud to say he earned a composite score of 26!!! which wasn't good enough for him. Mostly, I think, because it didn't beat his brother's score of 27. So, he is taking it again in December. Ahh, sweet sibling rivalry. Most impressively, though, is that his science score was a 31. Whoa - he doesn't get that science brain from his mama! He loves any kind of science and has taken Biology, Advanced Biology, and is now taking Physics.

That is about it for current news from our crazy household, which has been a lot less crazy with two less kids. However, still crazy enough with just Jon and Zack...especially when they both decide to act like they're 2 years old at the same time. Yes, sad to say, it happens from time to time. But then, it must be a male thing because my husband will still ocassionally act like a toddler too!

The Worst Day

On Saturday November 23, I woke up to the news that my dad had passed away in his early morning sleep and my whole world changed in that o...
