We are halfway to Florida...staying the night in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where the temperature is a very tolerable 66*.
The first part of the day was rough...4:15 am wake up call, packing up the car, and very slippery roads for the first 15 minutes or so.
Our first stop is always the Lake Forest Oasis just before we go through Chicago - or around Chicago I should say. On the 294 tollway where I have to pay $1.50 at each toll booth!!!
Zack usually gets breakfast...
And I cannot resist an Auntie Anne's pretzel
Most of the day alternated between fog, rain, and cloudy. Not the greatest driving weather but the temperature was in the 50's and 60's all day which was nice when filling up with gas or having to take Ollie out.
The traffic was heavy, especially around Nashville, but moved at a pretty good speed and no big traffic tie-ups - except around Nashville which I expected at 5:15 on a Friday night.
Dinner was at one of our family favorites
This is the 7th year we've eaten at this Cracker Barrel (the exception was last year when we were on a different travel schedule).
