Pictures added - finally!
Anyway, the game last night was against another team that they lost to twice last year - by huge margins.
What a difference a year makes. Zack started the game, as usual, and by the end of the first quarter, the 5 starting players has built an 18-2 lead. They rarely played the rest of the game.
From that point on, he emptied the bench and then rotated in the starting five for a couple minutes at a time. Zack got to play another 3-4 minutes in the third quarter.
Score after almost 3 quarters...after scoring 18 in the 1st and then sitting the starting 5. |
And when I say bench players, I don't mean scrubs...they have a ton of talent on their team and many players not starting or playing a whole lot because they are 7th graders and I think the coach is trying to let the 8th graders start and play as much as they can because it is their last year in Middle School while the 7th graders still have one more year.
Zack ended the game with 4 points, a couple steals (but one he wasn't able to gain control of and it rolled out of bounds) and one block. He missed two free throws so that kind of stinks, but had a great game overall...when he was in.
The score ended up not even being close. The coach had to ban them from shooting the ball and running up the score.
