Morning - California Adventure
As usual (except for day one) CJ was up and out in time for rope drop. The rest of us met him about 9:00.. The guys (minus Jon) opened the morning by riding the Incredicoaster again.
While waiting for them, the wildest thing happened. For at least the past 8-10 years I have been following Garret Gee from The Bucket List Family on Instagram. In 2014 he sold his mobile scanning app to Snapchat for $54 million dollars. Following the sale, he and his family sold all their belongings and became full-time travelers. Now that his kids are in school, they have a permanent home in Hawaii, but continue to travel quite a bit. Anyway, because I follow him, I was aware that he had knee surgery a few weeks ago. So as I am waiting by the Incredicoaster I see this man with a knee brace using crutches and wearing his signature bandana on his head.

I did not go talk to him because I didn't want to be one of those people, but I did check my Instagram and discovered that they were indeed at Disneyland/California Adventure. It's just not someone I ever thought I'd be in the place with since we live far apart.

After that we went on Midway Mania again (Toy Story). I guess it's a little consolation that my score improved with each ride, but I still suck at those kinds rides. The odd thing is, no matter who I rode with, I had a better accuracy score, but always ended up losing badly anyway.
Next came a new ride - at least for this trip. The Magic Kingdom does have the Little Mermaid ride and I've been on it there.

I cannot remember what ride we had a Lightning Lane for next, but whatever it was, it wasn't running. So Chris, Prachi, and I traded that Lightning Lane for the big Fun Wheel. The others were too aftraid of heights to go.
Picture credit: TripSavvyIf you look closely, there are ride vehicles on the inside and outside of the wheel. The inside vehicles swing along a track and rock back and forth - no thank you. We took the outside ride.
After that, some of our party went on Webslinger and then we closed out the morning with another ride on Monsters Inc.
Evening - Disneyland
We began our evening with Alice of Wonderland which was our very first ride. Then back to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and another spin on Indiana Jones.
At this point we said goodbye to Chris, Jon, and Prachi. CJ, Zack, and I were staying for the fireworks and parade.
After the fireworks, I was so cold that I chose to save a bench for the parade with a sweatshirt on that Chris gave to me before he left and my sweater draped over my legs. CJ and Zack went on the Matterhorn, Pinocchio, and Snow White. When they returned, Zack saved the bench and CJ and I went on Small World.
The parade was really good and, despite being cold, I am so glad we stayed for it.
We ended the evening with Pirates again.
My only regret is that we were supposed to go on Haunted Mansion and then Pirates (the rides are right next to each other), but I gave into Zack and we scratched Haunted Mansion. I really wish we would have taken the additional 15-20 minutes and rode it.
And with that, the Disney portion of our trip was over and Zack and I were exhausted.
