Tonight Zack's team played their most exciting game of the year so far!
Overall, the team had another game where their shots just weren't falling. In the end, Zack had 16 of the team's 28 points. (There was actually a disagreement about one of his shots that was scored as a 2 point shot but his coach and our athletic director both thought was a 3 pointer...so his coach is giving him credit for 17 points in the team stats).
With the game tied and only 15 seconds left...a steal and excellent pass led to a lay-up by Zack for the eventual game winning points.
It was a fun game to watch.
Again, it amazes me what God has chosen to accomplish through this young boy who was told by his coach (3 years ago) that basketball was "not his thing" and he should just be the team captain.
But with success comes constant reminders that he is, at least for now, reaping the blessings given to him by God and should be used as stepping stones to fulfill God's will.
