Loving Like Jesus

A couple years ago we were asked to read a book called Loving Like Jesus Loved at school.  


This sounded exciting to me.  Oh...there was nothing like Jesus's love.  
Tender:

Compassionate:

Forgiving:

Submissive:

But the book was not what I was expecting. 


It's not that the book didn't discuss these characteristics - they define most of what we know about Jesus. 


 The book opened my eyes to a different kind of love though.  The kind of love that we often DON'T associate with Jesus.  


The kind of love that would not tolerate sin!  Jesus offended many, many people because of his "tell it like it was" love.  Jesus would not turn and walk away from sin...or sinners.  


No, he would not walk away from His purpose here on Earth...to bear witness to the truth.  The TRUTH!!!  


Jesus is the truth.

He died for you:

  And he died for me:

We were dead to our sins:

But because of the sacrifice of Jesus we can rejoice in our eternal life!

Today, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus!!! Death could not defeat him...His love for us prevails


And by his woulds WE ARE HEALED!!!

Father...thank you for loving us.
