This was a long, difficult week with working both jobs every single day! I cannot do that too often so if I continue to get scheduled like that, I will have to say something.
I still have not even been able to pick up my new car because - no time!
Today there was no reprieve either as I had to work and then we had dinner plans. My aunt and uncle from Wisconsin are visiting Tampa Bay so we met them about half way between Tampa and Orlando at a Cracker Barrel in Lakeland.
It was one of the worst experiences I have had at a Cracker Barrel. My uncle had asked for his burger plain and it came to the table with everything on it so she had to take it back and fix it. We all got our entree's without fries because they had run out and were frying some more (we got them about 10 minutes later),my shrimp and corn were coldish, and Zack's chicken and fries meal looked like it was a kid's meal portion. Seriously, the chicken tenders were no longer than 2 inches long and he only had about 4 or 5 of them. I said something and she brought a few more for him but - what was she thinking? I would never have served a plate like that to a paying customer! We have a saying at the Comic Strip where I work, "if you wouldn't want it yourself, don't serve it to the customers."
Anyway, despite the food, we had a great time visiting and were mostly able to drive without issue. There was an accident causing traffic back-up right before our exit but I just took the Buena Vista exit and then took the back way home on Turkey Lake Drive.
Hoping for a more restful week ahead.
